Description:
This is certainly one of the rarest Colts that I have ever owned and is most likely a one of a kind. This Detective Special has a full King rib, front and rear sights marked King, along with a King Cockeyed Hammer and set of Roper grips. The gun comes in the original box and has a King label. The gun is mechanically perfect with an excellent bore and the action is crisp. The gun retains most of it’s bluing with just some small wear at the muzzle and a couple of spots on the cylinder. The gun has a very unique gold Rampant Colt pony that was done by Orville Kuhl who was the engraver for the King Gunsight Company. He also did the stippling on the back strap. The detail on this gold inlay is very detailed and the best that I have seen. This is a chance to own one of the most unique Colt Detective Specials ever made. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
