RARE C&R US Small Arms Co. HUNTSMAN KNIFE PISTOL
Fantastic American Combination of a Pocket Knife & Pistol
Here we present a US Small Arms Co. Knife Pistol, made circa the 1920s in Chicago, Illinois. The designer was L.L. Rogers of Boston, Massachusetts. This is one of two variants that he is known to have made. One is the Defender, and the other is this one, the Huntsman. The first name is vaguely descriptive of what these might have been intended for, though in practice one might rather utilize his feet rather than try to defend himself with a small blade and somewhat awkward manual of arms for this pistol. The Huntsman was probably the better descriptor and use for this little gadget, the blade always being useful, and the small .22 rimfire chambering adequate for dispatching animals caught on the trapline.
This example is chrome plated, of which about 70% remains. The markings are legible. The blade has seen some use and wear. The mechanism is very strong.
Here is an excellent opportunity to own one of these great little knife pistols for much less than the $2500 that they can sell for!
