Description:
Parker VH 16 Gauge Side-by-Side
FACTORY 70% CASE COLOR, 28”, BALL GRIP

General Specs: Parker, Year 1911, 16 Gauge, 6lbs 5oz, SxS
Serial Number: 155812

Bird season is here, the leaves are turning, the pheasants are cackling, and the grouse are flushing.  Time for a new Parker for your upland season, but how to choose?  There are many available and more than just price that influences your decision.  You want a gun that will serve your needs, function properly without letting you down or costing you more money on repairs, and a gun that looks good and makes you proud.  This fine Parker, sn155812 made in 1911, is a very rare find in that it is “as found” and retains 93% factory blue, 70% factory case color (fading but there), perfect screws, perfect wood-to-metal fit, barrels tight on breech face and hinge pin like a new gun, no cracks or repairs to the wood…just a perfect example of a fine Parker VH in high condition (the wood could use a clean-up and restoration if you like your wood to look near new.  We can do that for $550 within 6 weeks of your purchase, including recut checkering).  There are a LOT of Parker VH 16ga. guns for sale, but YOU RARELY SEE ONE WITH A BALL GRIP, OR ½ ROUND PISTOL GRIP.  There are only a few with lots of factory condition that have not been buggered up, or otherwise made less desirable by the addition of a pad, poorly done restorations, or replaced parts.  Examine the details closely and you will notice the superior wood to metal fit, near perfect checkering, original dogs head buttplate, great shooting dimensions, and very nice factory original case color remaining on this fine Parker, setting it apart from the others.  The 28” barrels have perfect mirror bores, are choked CYL/M, the perfect grouse, woodcock, quail, and pheasants over dog chokes!  Parker Collectors letter documents the gun “as shipped” and is included with the purchase of the gun.  This Parker 16ga. is on a #1 frame, but you will note she weighs like an “O” frame gun at 6lbs. 5oz. and balances right on the hinge pin.  Most Parker 16ga. guns weigh 1/2lb. more!  A finer Parker upland gun you will not find at this price.  Thanks for looking, and take this Parker for a hunt!
