FINE Stevens DIAMOND No. 43 Single Shot .22 Pistol
Light & Handy .22 Rimfire with Nearly 6 Inch Barrel
Here we present a Stevens A&T Diamond No. 43 Single Shot .22 Caliber Pistol, made circa 1910. This pistol was the second edition of one the company produced beginning in 1886. It features a single shot of .22 Rimfire Short, tip-up barrel, a built-in extractor, and single action. Pressing the button on the left side opens the action. This pistol was intended for a very small, very simple target or plinking gun in the early 20th Century. Its small size and simplicity also make it a great teaching tool for children.
The overall condition is fine. The original nickel finish is virtually complete. The colors on the hammer are vibrant. The original blue is about 25% on the barrel. The markings are clear and legible. The walnut grips are smooth and in very good shape. Their numbers match as well. The bore is clean. The action is excellent. A great little gun!
