ANTIQUE Belgian FOLDING TRIGGER Pinfire Revolver
Liege Proofed European Double Action Revolver
Here we present an antique Belgian Pinfire Revolver, made in Liege circa 1870. Casimir Lefaucheux patented the pinfire cartridge in 1835 and son Eugene designed the pistol. The pinfire cartridge was one of the first successful self-contained cartridges in history, and the pistol saw prolific use in Europe during the 19th century, even being adopted by some militaries and police.
The overall condition is very good. The metal surfaces still bear 40% original blue finish. The markings are clear and legible. The grips are smooth and in good shape. The bore is in very good condition. The trigger return spring is not functional, but the rest of the action is functional.
