Description:
Priced to sell, The value is much higher. Collectors Estate Item .We do not alter finish " ORIGINAL PATINA ” This is a very real Cowboy Colt Single Action Army revolver used in Texas after the turn of the last century.  This is a 4.7 '' barrel, custom & standard grips, in .38/40  (38 WCF) caliber.
It was made in 1908. Met up with the  Holster  Valued at  $200- $300 an original Nathan Porter/N. Porter Saddlery - His Birth late 1850’s Death.1925 then located in Abilene Tx.
There are a number of marks on the Colt which bear mentioning as follows: the inside of the orignal grips are scratched ''EARL'' & several letters of assembly.Mental Grips like I have never seen before with colt logo. Over all it is in very good condition ,loss of bluing but no pitting And all 3- serial nos. are the same. The Bore is in excellent condition, the action is tight It will shoot !
There is one scratch mark on the side of the barrel as shown by picture I was told ,It was not uncommon to identify guns with this type hash mark for one reason or another.?
I have the Marlin lever action 1894 the accompanied this revolver in 38-40 cal. Caliper  guns were often purchased with the same caliber in mnd.
