Sharps Model 1863 Saddle Ring Carbine .52 Civil War Issue. The serial number of this example is 761XX. This Carbine is an early transitional example with 1859 patch box Iron Mountings. Overall condition is very good with the original rust blue finish toned to a very nice even bluish plum patina. The bore is above average with strong rifling and shine from muzzle to breech. Strong Barrel address and Model description. Strong Patent dates. A very nice untouched Civil War and Indian wars example.
