Serial #4846, .40-70 Sharps Straight, 30" octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an exquisite rifle, which features: the early short half-cock lock; double-set triggers; vernier tang sight and spirit level globe front; and beautifully figured Circassian walnut forend and buttstock with rounded, shadowline cheek-piece (which has cast-off for a right-handed shooter). The rifle is in almost unused condition, and has no noticeable finish loss, nor any handling marks in the wood worth mentioning. A set of RCBS .40-70 SS loading dies are included. This is an exquisite modern Sharps rifle, available now, without the 12 month wait. FFL
