Description:
All original, ealry Colt New Service 38WCF, 5 1/2" barrel. Serial #5457 circa 1900. 50% blue with areas of bright original blue, no deep scratches or oxidation. Matching numbers. Markings are good and strong except the Colt logo is weak and partially visiable. Ejector rod head has been replaced. Lanyard ring. Original hard rubber grips are excellent, no chips or cracks; minor dents. A "W" is scratched on the bottom of the left panel. Bore is bright with strong lands, some frosting. Action is crisp and exceptionally tight in battery. This Colt does not apear to have been used much or abused. View the recoil plate. An early (117 yrs old) , rare cal., New Service in fine working condition is very collectable. Ask questions, Buyer pays all shipping ($25 priority US mail in the US) C&R OK.
