Description:
Fancy, high quality, original flintlock from the mid 1700s. This all original piece has raised carving at the bbl. tang, trigger guard, forend, and lock panels. It is 15 inches overall, with an 8-3/4 inch barrel. Both the stock forend and ramrod have horn tips. The brass furniture is all engraved, and the butt cap, thumbpiece, guard finial, pierced side plate, and rear rod pipe are relief carved. There is a mask on the butt cap, and the thumbpiece is ornate. The lock functions perfectly, and all lock parts are original including the screws. The frizzen screw is unbridled, an early feature. There are no visible markings, and a forged nail repair below the lock plate. Please examine the photos to determine actual condition. Certified checks, or USPS money orders only accepted.
