Description:
This is a very nice and early Colt SAA (1887) in .45 LC. The revolver has a nickel finish that looks to be original and has some flaking on the cylinder and frame. Most of the flaking on the frame is ahead of the cylinder. The cylinder pin has a dimple and the loading gate has an assembly number that is different from the Serial number (standard). The revolver comes with Colt hard rubber grips that are in excellent condition. The serial numbers match on the frame, front of the trigger guard and the bottom of the grip strap. The barrel is a non-standard 4 5/8 inch and may have been cut and re-crowned but it looks good and the ejector rod housing is 1/8 inch short of the muzzle. The hammer has all 4 click with the first being light but the hammer is held solid in place. This is an Antique and can be shipped directly to you in most states.
