Description:

Reproduction MATCHLOCK Musket w FLUTED Barrel

Very Unique Matchlock Musket with Jezail Style Stock

Here we present a very unique reproduction Matchlock Musket, made circa the 20th Century. The matchlock represents very ancient technology as the first firearms in history were matchlock. This ancient mechanism was used for centuries, even up through the 19th Century in certain places in the world. This musket features a long, 46-inch, fluted barrel. The front sight and rear sight are fixed onto the barrel. The trigger mechanism and the top of the barrel are engraved. The flash pan is very decorative. The top of the barrel has deep maker’s marks that appear quite old.

The barrel itself appears to be quite old, certainly much older than the stock in which it currently resides. We believe that this barrel is actually antique, while the stock and barrel bands are more modern replacements to make the weapon useable. The bore is smooth and the whole firearm is in very good condition with just minor scratches on the stock.

Barrel is 46 inches.

Caliber: .55
