Description:
Inspected by David F. Clark (D.F.C.) in 1887, this .45 caliber Cavalry Model SA could have seen action in the Indian War Period and/or the Spanish American War with the regular Army or one of the state militia units. It was definitely used, but remains in excellent mechanical condition with a good bore plus all matching serial numbered parts, including the barrel, cylinder and grips. While slightly worn, the grips clearly show the 1887 date on the left side, a visible cartouche on the right, and the DFC initials on the butt. Comes with it's original M1881 military holster and an unopened box of 1880 dated, Frankford Arsenal .45 Ammunition. A very nice outfit.
