Very rare (in this condition) Winchester Model 1897 Pump Action .16ga. Shotgun. The serial number of this example is 244368 placing date of manufacture in 1904. Overall condition of this gun is excellent with 95+% of the original factory untouched finish. The bore is perfect and will rate a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. I do see a couple of spots of leading just past the chamber, should come out with a good scrubbing. The "Three Screw" Forearm is minty and the screws are perfect with no evidence a screw driver has ever been in the slot! 100% original factory varnish on the stocks, no damage anywhere! Tight and mechanically perfect takedown feature. Very rare early 1897 in the most sought after chamber, .16 gauge...
