This is a very nice very desirable Letterkenny Arsenal rebuild originally sold thru the CMP. The barrel is dated SA 10 -49. The original Parkerizing is about 85-90%. The loss is due mostly to sharp edge silvering and some slight thinning from handling. There is no rust or pitting anywhere.
The gun was rebuilt with all post war parts. The stock is stamped with an Open Box SA with H below it. The pistol grip is stamped with several Circle P proofs and the orange triangle Letterkenny Arsenal rebuild stamp on the underside. The wood is the typical walnut, WWII, with several nicks and dings however there are no splits. There are two small, nicely matched wood reinforcement inlays where the floor plate mates to the stock.
The barrel is sunshine bright with razor sharp rifling. The muzzle and the throat gauge a 3. The gun comes with two enblocs, a post war canvas sling, and the CMP Authentication Certificate. Nice to look at and should be really great on the firing line. .....$1295.
