HARPER’S FERRY U.S. MODEL 1842 PERCUSSION MUSKET DATED 1851. .69 caliber smoothbore 42” barrel with “V/P/EAGLE HEAD” proofs at the breech and dated “1853”. Lock stamped “HARPER’S/FERRY/1851” All original and complete with barrel date 2 years from lock date but original period of use replacement with matching patina. Fine overall with crisp metal and very sharp markings. Stock in very good condition. Old brass collection tag on left side behind the side plate. Nipple with most of the blue. Lock in working order and very good bore. Ramrod original Model 1842 with dark old patina.
