Winchester Model 1892 .38-40wcf. 24 inch Octagon Barrel. The serial number of this example is 265507 indicating the date of manufacture in 1904. Overall condition of this rifle is very good to fine. Barrel and magazine have retained 95% of the original factory rust blue. The bore is near perfect with lots of shine and strong rifling. The bore will rate a 9 on a 1 to 10 scale. The receiver has retained approx. 40% of its original factory blue with a tight, smooth and mechanically perfect action. Wood to metal fit is perfect is perfect without any damage or evidence of sanding. Very nice honest untouched Model 1892.
