TRADITIONAL HAWKEN STYLED .54 CALIBER RIFLE BY "ALLEN F.A. MFG. CO.- SANTA FE, N.M." (as lightly stamped in the barrel top ahead of the receiver), I believe these were made in the 1970s and appear to be very high quality, no foreign proof marks anywhere (including under the barrel etc.), double keyed forend, 32" octagon barrel about 1" across the flats at the muzzle, nicely browned iron furniture and barrel, nice lightly figured rich dark walnut stock with cheek piece, standing buckhorn rear sight in dovetail with Rocky Mountain blade front, exc. mechanically, double set triggers, one has either been lightly "antiqued" or has simply seen use as it looks like it is right out of the 1840s- handling marks only in wood and normal wear to metal, I believe this will take a .526" ball, overall super attractive authentic. If you don't own and shoot an authentic style muzzle loader like this, you are missing out on great fun!
