Description:
This is an engraved Brown Manufacturing Co. Southerner deringer with iron frame. It is a 41 rimfire single shot deringer with excellent mechanical function and very good plus shinny bore with strong rifling but does have a few minor specks of corrosion. The grips are very good. The engraving appears to be factory. It retains generous traces of barrel blue in protected areas and very nice traces of dark case colors. The serial number is 3030 and is matching including the grips. The iron frames are estimated at 30 percent of the entire production of 1000. When was the last time you saw an engraved iron frame Brown, Southerner deringer?
