Here we present a Reproduction of the Venerable Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver. This piece appears to have been made in the 20th Century, though no maker’s mark or proof marks are to be found. The Model 1849 Pocket was a homerun for Samuel Colt, being a very small and handy firearm, perfect for 19th Century defensive carry. Over 280,000 were produced by the end of the American Civil War.
Condition is good. The metal surfaces have been force-patinaed. The markings are clear and legible. The numbers match. The grips are solid. The bore is serviceable. The action is strong.
