OLD WEST Antique WHITNEY 32 Rimfire Short Revolver
19th Century POCKET CARRY for the Armed Citizen
Here we present an antique Whitney No. 1-1/2 .32 Rimfire Revolver, made circa the 1870s. This small revolver carried five shots of .32 rimfire ammunition. It was specifically designed to be a pocket gun, being very small and light. For those not wanting or needing a full-sized gun or for those who wanted a backup this revolver was the ideal self-defense firearm for the tumultuous 19th century.
The overall condition is very good. The metal surfaces are dark with age. The markings are legible. The grips are a bit worn with carry and the right panel has a little chip on the back. The bore is strong. The action is excellent.
