Description:
SALE PENDING
Dakota 76 African Custom rifle, chambered in .416 Rigby.  The Dakota action was bought in “the White” and special ordered with checkered bolt knob, checkered safety and serial number “African 76” then specially fitted with a custom fluted 25 ¼” barrel by Bill Wiseman.  Note that the front sling band is integral to the barrel and that there are two recoil ports discretely cut in the barrel, one on either side of the hooded front sight.  The synthetic stock is by MPI and it is glass bedded and has an aluminum insert for the recoil lug.  The rifle has a 15” LOP because it was built for and used in Africa by a 6’ 7” tall hunter but the mercury reducer is placed so that the stock can be cut down to fit a right handed shooter..cheek piece and right hand palm swell.  This gun was built to shoot and shoot it does.  With 400 grain A frame bullets it shoots a ¾” group and it was used on safari for 25 days shooting nearly 250 rounds while taking 25 game animals, 3 of which were “Big 5”.  The black finish is Teflon coating by Spratlins of Colorado and barrel has been cryogenically treated.  It weighs 10 lbs. 5 oz. and it is truly an ultimate 5 shot dangerous game rifle.
