WILLIAM CASHMORE BEST GRADE 20GA. 2 1/2" CHAMBERS 26" SIDE BY SIDE SIDE LOCK EJECTOR SHOTGUN. Serial "174XX". All original condition overall with NO refurbishment whatsoever including it's 2 1/2" chamber length. Choked modified and improved modified. 26" original length barrels with solid rib engraved "Wm. Cashmore. Maker. Birmingham". Frame with 80% original case colors just beginning to fade. Crisp best grade scroll engraving. Excellent original screws. Lever right of center and VERY tight. Ejectors crisp. Solid wood with original finish and NO losses. Checkering crisp as well. No hairlines and inletting is perfect. Only signs of use on wood is pressure check to checkering on left side of forearm(see photo) should lift out. 14 1/8" LOP over original horn buttplate. Drop is 1 1/2" and 2 3/8". Original blue on barrels with a few areas of fading but NO pitting and /or salt and pepper. Prime example of one of the best English makers never refinished. Comes with leg of mutton case in fair shape with some stitching issues and dryness but NO losses. Original brass escutcheon plate on top of comb indicative of Cashmore. Weighs 5.5 lbs.
