Description:
This Springfield Cadet has a lock date of 1863 and dated 1870 on the trapdoor. Cal 50-70. 29-5/8" bbl. Bbl is in the white. This one has been carefully cleaned. Serial number 685 on both bbl and breech block and is still very visible. Bbl has nice smooth metal. Receiver has an aged grey patina as does the lock plate. All markings are good. Pretty good bore with just a couple of light spots of pitting. A little roughness but good rifling. I think the bore will clean up well. Gun does have orig ram rod. Wood has overall good cond with a faint cartouche.
