Nazi Occupied Czechoslovakian Sidearm with Holster
Here we present a Nazi German CZ 27 Pistol, made circa 1944 in Czechoslovakia. The vzor 27 was first adopted by the Czechs in 1927, then by the Third Reich upon their seizure of ?eská zbrojovka in 1939. Many of these single action .32 ACP blowback pistols were manufactured until the end of the war, becoming somewhat rougher toward the end in an attempt to save on cost, time and resources. The machining marks grew more visible and the blue applied to the earlier guns was changed to a phosphate finish. Many of these were put in the hands of officers and police during World War II.
This specimen is marked “Pistole Modell 27/Kal.7,65” on the left side of the slide. The top of the slide is marked “BÖHMISHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G. IN PRAG”. The checkered Bakelite grips have the CZ logo. The bottom of the magazine is marked “P.Mod 27”. The top of the slide and barrel are marked with an eagle. The frame is marked “Eagle/WaA76”. Accompanying this pistol is an unmarked leather holster.
Overall condition is good. This pistol has been nickeled and retains 90%. The markings are clear and legible. The serial numbers match. Magazine is unnumbered. The one piece grip has a hair crack on the top right. The bore is strong and shiny. The action is excellent.
