Small Early 20th Century Conceal & Carry Revolver
Here we present an Iver Johnson Double Action Top Break Revolver, made circa the early 20th Century in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The company continued to operate until 1993. This revolver was designed to be small and concealable for self-defense.
This revolver is chambered for 5 shots of .38 S&W. The action works in both double and single action. The top of the barrel is marked “IVER JOHNSON ARMS & CYCLE WORKS/FITCHBURG, MASS. U.S.A.” The grip panels feature an owl on each side.
The overall condition is good. The original blue finish is about 20%. The rest of the metal has an aged patina. The markings are clear and legible. The grips are very good. The bore has good rifling and is serviceable. The action is strong.
