Description:
Alexander Henry Double Rifle c.1881, in the fairly rare 577/500 Magnum cartridge. This is a BIG and impressive cartridge with a 3 1/4" case - a necked down 577. This rifle is in generally very good condition except for some fairly deep spotted pitting on the action,locks, and barrel rib. The pitting does not interfere with the functioning of the rifle. See photos. Ironically the bores are in very good to excellent condition and it is well regulated as are most Henry doubles. The Damascus barrels are 28in. with original sights. There is a dolls head rib extension as would be expected on a big rifle like this. LOP is 14 3/8in. to heel and toe plates. The rifle weighs 9lbs. 6oz. Several pieces of brass go with the rifle. I also have more pix for interested prospective buyers. I will split shipping to contiguoous states.
