This is a Rare Savage Model 1899-B Lever-Action Rifle! It is chambered for the desirable, But Hard To Find .38-55 caliber. These Unique Rifles are a solid frame, standard weight, and have a internal rotary magazine. The Rifle has a Factory 26" Octagon barrel. Features include the vintage curved steel butt plate, a bolt cocking indicator, a cartridge quantity window and a lever safety. S.N.# - 50,7xx MFD - 1905 This 112-yr. old is in pretty good shape, but is not without some issue. The straight grip buttstock is the worst. It has the common Savage tang crack with a chip of wood missing. Also at the stock’s bottom there seems to have possibly been a sling attachment hardware, that is now missing. (Missing Wood). The bluing quality varies. The Rifle does have a good bore and has a ($200) Lyman Tang Peep sight. Not perfect, but a Rare and Great example of Savage Lever-Action History! Don't miss this chance!
