Description:
Model 1861 U.S. Springfield musket in overall good plus Cond. All wood is sound and solid with an aged deep color and slight cartouche. Has good markings on lock plate with 1862 date. Barrel is smooth aged brown with pitting in tang and bolster area. Bore is fair at best showing heavy use. Trigger and hammer work perfect. Ramrod is very old not original to gun. Gun has never been sanded and has 155 years of patina. This musket was in the war and if you do not want to spend $1500 or more, this is for you.
