Description:
As pretty as it is practical, this early 1900s double rifle has been professionally restored to new condition and is cased in the maker's case with a full complement of tools and accessories. Proofed for 480 grain bullet over 70 grains of cordite, the standard Kynoch load of the period. Steel barrels (26") have very good bores with some typical frosting and throat wear, should comfortably digest Woodleighs all day long at 9lb 12 oz. Stocks are sound and original, having being refinished not too long ago, with classic H&H "over the comb" top tang, 14 5/8" LOP through Silvers pad, neutral cast, drops 2" and 2 13/16". Auto safety works, as does articulated front trigger. Will drop jumbos today just as well as it did a century ago. What's not to like?
