Description:
This is an early one having the early 1860 Patent date and serial number 2099. The bore is very good, bright and shiny. The mechanical function is very good. The metal is a smooth plum and blue color finish. The wood is solid with some dings and bumps. The Gallager saw extensive action during the Civil War. Cavalry regiments that were armed with them were 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th Ohio, the 13 Tennessee and the 3rd West Virginia.
