A beautiful Springfield M2 Trainer. Metal is in great condition - no rust or pits. Barrel is bright and clean. Lands and grooves are fine. Front sight is enclosed in a hood. The wood has typical handling marks for a gun this age. See pictures for details. This is a great piece of history and it is a great shooter.
Markings: The barrel is marked “S A / Flaming Bomb / 1 – 42”. The frame is marked “U. S. / Springfield / Armory / Cal. .22 M2 . SN: 9968”. The bolt handle is marked “NS / M2”. The barrel band is marked with a “U”. . The stock is marked “S. A. / O".
