Description:

Engraved C&R ANDREW FRYBERG Double Action Revolver

With Bobbed Hammer in .38 S&W

Here we present an Andrew Fryberg Top-Break Double Action Revolver, made circa 1907 in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Andrew Fryberg was a prolific inventor around the turn of the 20th Century. He worked for several large firearms makers before beginning his own business. Many of his wares were sold by Sears & Roebuck. This revolver was made for self-defense, holding 5 shots of .38 S&W. The frame and barrel are nicely engraved. The hammer has been bobbed so that the gun performs only in double action. This was done during the period of use.

The overall condition is very good. The nickel finish is about 80%. The engraving and markings are clear and legible. The grips are original, bearing the Fryberg monogram. They are solid other than the small defects shown. The bore is well-rifled and quite serviceable. The action is strong. Here is a great little bobbed hammer revolver from the early 1900s!
