Small British Flintlock Pistol for Early 19th Century Defense
Here we present an antique English T. Bolton & Co. Flintlock Turn-Off Flintlock Muff Pistol, made circa the early 1800s. This small pistol features a trigger that folds up and out of the way for carry in a pocket, purse or muff. When cocked, the trigger drops out ready for action. The sides of the brass frame are modestly engraved. The left side bears the name of the maker, while the right bears “LONDON”. The barrel turns off for easy, tool-less loading and a tighter ball to bore fit. The underside of the frame is British proofed.
The overall condition is good. The iron is dark with age. The markings are clear. The grip is smooth and solid. The bore is smooth and in good shape. The action is strong. Here is a great little flintlock pistol!
