Antique ALLEN Double Barrel SxS Percussion Pistol
Two Hammers Operated by Single Trigger
Here we present an antique Allen Double Barrel Percussion Pistol, made circa 1850 in Worcester, Massachusetts. This slender pistol features two .36 caliber barrels and would have been designed for self-defense. Each barrel has a hammer operated by a single trigger. Hammers can be operated individually or simultaneously. The sides of the frame are modestly engraved.
The overall condition is fair. The metal surfaces are dark with age. The only discernible marking is a small 3 on the bottom of the barrels. The walnut grips are smooth, with the right grip being cracked. Bores are very sharp and clean. The action is strong. Here is an interesting little double barrel pistol!
