Description:
This is a factory engraved Remington New Model Navy 38 short and long Colt centerfire revolver. The serial number is 43,483. Not much original finish left but it is in good plus mechanical condition. It has a good to good plus bore with strong rifling, kind of dirty but should clean up better. No chips or cracks in the wood. This was probably a percussion and later converted as the serial numbers started with 23,000. Towards the end of production, some left the factory as a centerfire cartridge gun.
