REDUCED - These little Marlin Ballard single shots in .22 are quite scarce these days. All are antique and made prior to 1898 as far as I know. Seems like most of them were purchased for their actions and then rebarreled to other calibers, etc. Well, this one is original. This one without original finish but a good solid gun, bore about fair and probably shootable - Wood is original and solid with the exception of 2 cracks on left side (see photos) which do not seem to matter much at all as the stock is tight and solid to the frame. The 24 inch barrel we are told was offered later on in the production. Sights are original to the rifle. Serial number on this rifle is in the 2597x range.
