ANTIQUE Otis Smith .38 S&W Double Action Revolver
Very Fine with Excellent Single Action Trigger Pull!
Here we present an antique Otis Smith .38 S&W Double Action Top Break Revolver, made circa 1890 in Rockfall, Connecticut. This revolver is of extremely high quality, very much like Smith & Wesson in build and design. The top break action initiates the automatic ejector. The truly unique feature of this revolver is the inset trigger within the trigger. While this insert goes unnoticed in double action mode, it truly shines in single action mode. When the hammer is cocked, the insert is the only part of the trigger which needs to be engaged to drop the hammer, making for an extremely light and crisp trigger.
The overall condition is very fine. The original nickel finish is virtually complete. Case colors are very niceThe markings are clear and legible. The original hard rubber grips are in good shape, with just a chip on the top of the right panel. The bore is in good condition. The action is superb. Here is a very nice little late-19th Century revolver!
