Personal Check with hold Description: This is a nice Remington "New Model" conversion to .44 Russian caliber center fire. Has an 8" octagon barrel with a very good bore. Serial number #97701 with same numbers on the matching frame, trigger guard, and barrel. Grips are nice hardwood with left grip showing an inspector's cartouche. Has inspectors marks of "D" on barrel and trigger guard, also "B" on barrel. Also, has the number "174" along with serial number on frame under grip. Nice brass patina on trigger guard. Looks like older professional re- blue on metal finish. Front site is screw in blade style stud. Rear sight is extended slot on top of frame. Action is strong and indexes properly.
