Description:
Note that all markings/stampings are deep, crisp and very readable. This gun is solid, functional, accurate and nearly 100% original.
Wood is solid with original finish. No sanding and wood to metal finish is all original.
The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp.
Metal shows some minor flaking as seen in the pictures. One fore end screw has been replaced with an original factory screw purchased from Numrichj Arms inventory.
The barrel is marked 22 S L & L R as can be clearly seen in the pictures.
The butt plate and Marlin "white circle" are in excellent condition, and the fit to the wood is original.
Mechanical condition is excellent with little wear. Note the picture showing the inside of the action.
Serial number 84XX dates this rifle approximately 100 years ago. Not only is the mechanical condition outstanding, the cosmetic appearance is excellent for this age. Oh, and the gun is very accurate!
