This Carl Grundig Royal Double Rifle 10.9 x 58R is a remarkable piece of shootable history. Carl Grundig was the royal gunmaker for the King of Saxony during this period and this rifle bears a royal monogram in the stock oval. The rifle also has a game register (counter) on the stock. There is a sterling silver plate with the intials of the game he hunted and pin for each one taken placed next to the intial. The action is as tight as new and the bores are excellent. I have reloading brass (43 Mauser), dies and bullets for this very shootable antique.
The wood is excellent as is the metal everywhere on this hammer rifle. The triggers break at a consistant 4lbs and the lock up is as tight as new.
This is an unusual opportunity to own a fine double rifle with a possible royal provenance at a great price and hunt with it!
