Description:
REDUCED - This is one of the last of the New Haven Model 70 Classics (with pre '64 extractor) in a great caliber. I do not think they made very may of these classic compacts with the schnabel forend, etc. Seems to be just the ticket for the brush and the rifle has Leupod type base and rings attached, just waiting for your choice of optics to be mounted. Bore and chamber are perfect. Rifle has most all the original blue finish on the metal and most all the original stock finish on the walnut stock. Note that it has been hunted with (probably for a season) and it does have some dings and handling marks on the wood, which in no way alters its usefulness. A great little bolt action carbine for the $$$$.
