This Two-Trigger Frank Wesson rifle is a type1 and is marked Kittredge & Co. Kittredge and Co.was a well known seller and sold this rifle during the Civil War, primarily to state militias. The sights on this rifle are military sights. This rifle fired a .44 Henry rimfire cartridge, or a compatible Wesson cartridge. We can't guarantee this rifle was used during the Civil War but it was manufactured during that time period. The barrel is octagonal and is 24 inches in length. The rifle is in good workable condition and is an antique that does not require an FFL.
