Description:
Beautiful Savage Model 99K and so marked ( See Photos ).  Serial # 310xxx ( 2nd year, 1927 vintage I believe ).  Beautiful High Luster Blue, Lovely Engraving on both sides, Barrel, Receiver, Front and Rear of Bolt (See Photos).  Strong Case Colors on Lever.  Metal retains all of 98% Original Finish.  Engraving Clean and Sharp.  Proper Lyman SA Receiver Sight and front flip down sight. Gun numbers up all the way.  Forend, Buttstock, Butt Plate and Barrel. One interesting feature, there is a VH stamped in the buttstock above the serial number.  Don"t know if that is a factory stamp or possibly the Original Owner.  Done Professionally.  Deluxe Wood is Great.  A few very minor handling marks and one chip out of the lower left side of Buttstock. (See Photos ). Checkering is Excellent with no flaws and Very Sharp.  I would say finish is all of 96+% with the above mentioned marks and aging on either side of the upper tang.  More on the left than right above the panel checkering. We have handled and sold many of these 99K's through the years but this one ranks near or the best we have ever had.  The best feature is the Caliber. 250/3000 with a Mint Bore and the 22" barrel.  A real find these days and truly a showpiece for anybody's Savage 99 Collection.  FFL or C&R required for shipping. Thanks for Looking.
