Description:
Indian Spear Point Bowie knife from the mid to late 19th century with 9" blade marked "ARNACHELLUM SALEM". 14 inches over all. Sambar Stag Horn handle. The scabbard is original and is worn leather covered wood with a steel retaining clip. The knife was made by the famous Indian Cutler, Arnachellum who lived in Salem India. Arnachellum was famous throughout India for his shikar knifes and spear heads.  These are tiger hunting knives, made for the Brits while occupying India. Returned to England and then made their way to the states. The blade is very sharp. This bowie knife is in good condition and looks like it has a story to tell.
