Excellently Preserved Early 20th Century Pocket Revolver
Here we present an Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Double Action Hammerless Revolver, made circa the early 20th Century in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The company continued to operate until 1993. This revolver was designed to be small and concealable for self-defense.
This revolver is chambered for 5 shots of .32 S&W and features a hammerless design, prime for pocket carry in the 1920s. The top of the barrel is marked “IVER JOHNSON ARMS & CYCLE WORKS/FITCHBURG, MASS. U.S.A.” The grips bear an owl on each side.
The overall condition is excellent. 98% of the original nickel finish remains. Virtually all of the blue on the trigger guard remains. Case colors on the trigger and barrel latch are vibrant. The markings are clear and legible. The grips are fine. The bore is sharp and shiny. The action is excellent. Here is a very nice Iver Johnson from the early 20th Century!
