Remington Arms 12 Gauge Model 11 D Grade Skeet
Another unique and desirable offering from our retired Insurance and Oil man. This Remington Model 11 12-gauge semi auto serial # 780815 is embellished with the rare D Grade level of engraving. Also, this fine shotgun has outstanding D Grade wood. The 26-Inch vent rib barrel has a small white mid bead and a white fore sight. The barrel is factory marked Skeet. The chamber is 2 ¾ or shorter shells and the bore is excellent with no pitting. Exterior bluing is a shade or two lighter than when it left the factory but still very attractive with only minimal thinning at the carry point. There are a few very minor spots with very shallow pitting. The gun has been fitted at some point with the recoil pad you see here. LOP from trigger face to rear most edge is 14 ½ inches. The fore end has some cracks but they appear to have been excellently repaired years ago or are stable, a regrettable hazard for highly figured wood. Yes, there are a few handling marks on this firearms wood. Of particular note are the screw heads. Not one of them is blemished or damaged in any way. An example of exceptional American firearms manufacture.
