Description: Parker DH 12 Gauge SxS ENGLISH STOCK, NICE WOOD, GREAT DIMENSIONS General Specs: Parker, Year 1899, 12 Gauge, 7lbs 10oz, Side by Side Serial Number: 89665 Parker shotguns get interesting in the DH Grade, with nice game scene engraving, figured wood, elaborate checkering, and skeleton butt plate as standard. They made a lot of them, about 12,000 with Titanic and Damascus steel barrels, so they are not hard to find. This gun, sn89665 circa 1899, is a well-cared-for Parker with excellent mechanics, highly figured, factory original Circassian walnut with hard-to-find English style stock, still retaining the original skeleton buttplate and excellent shooting dimensions…THIS IS A PARKER YOU CAN AFFORD! This Parker shipped with Damascus barrels, but now wears 30” BELGIUM BARRELS MADE OF MODERN HIGH STRENGTH STEEL WITH FACTORY 3” CHAMBERS and choked IM/F. Talk about the best of both worlds! Gorgeous wood, skeleton butt, hand engraved with scroll and game scenes, hand fitted action, perfect mechanics, AND modern barrels with magnum capability. What a great late season pheasant gun, western upland gun, or long-range waterfowler. The nice thing about owning a Parker like this is you can use it without worrying about a little honest wear. Yet, it is a graded Parker that you can be proud of when comparing guns with your shooting pals. Ready to go for your trips afield or to the club for some clays games, care for the gun and it will cost you not a dime to own, as it is priced low enough that you can use it and sell it for more than you paid at a later date. That is the way to own a fine Parker! The gun matches the factory specs in the Parker Gun Identification and Serialization book in the way of stock configuration and barrel length.
