Description:
Hard to find Savage Model 20 Rifle with the #26 Lyman Bolt Peep Sight. As you can see, no provision for a rear sight on the barrel. Chambered in 300 Savage Caliber (only two calibers were offered in this model, the 300 Savage and 250/3000 Savage of which we have one of each). Metal retains conservatively, all of 90-95% Original Rust Blue. Wood retains about the same percentage of Original Varnish with some minor handling marks, the most noticeable, the mark ahead of the rear factory swivel, pictured in photos. Checkering is Sharp with no cracks or splits. Bore is Excellent and gun is totally Original !!. These are the finest vintage bolt actioned rifles Savage ever produced. They quit production when Winchester started mass producing their Model 54 which incidently looks a lot like the Savage Model 20. FFL or C&R Required. Thanks for Looking.
