Browning Sweet Sixteen
Lost in the 50’s tonight, this very nice offering from my Oil and Insurance buddy was made about 1955. This Belgian Browning Sweet Sixteen bears serial # S41903. She sports a rather scarce 29-inch solid rib barrel with not a blemish inside, some minor scuffs on barrel and a few minute nicks on the rib. Left side of barrel marked Browning Arms Company Ogden Utah over Full 16 Special Steel. Right side marked Made in Belgium. Blue is thin on the top tang and thinner on the bottom tang. Wood is overall very good but has some handling marks and dings from improper storage, transport and handling over the years. Round knob butt stock has a thin decelerator pad and LOP is 14 inches from trigger face to the rear edge. This is a very solid gun that can be taken afield and enjoyed as designed. A person could send her to Art’s and have her restored if one wanted to with minimal cost.
Shipping will be $28.00 USPS Priority Mail if east of the Mississippi River, West will be $35.00, West Coast states $40.00. Alaska and Hawaii will need a quote.
